Isn't Daniel Corbett great?

CorbettDaniel Corbett -- look at those teeth. He'd make a great Dracula. is one of the most unique weather forecasters on the telly. He has his own style of describing the weather, often remarking on what it is good for (eg, "having a picnic", "taking the doggie for a walk").

Verdict: Almost as good as Kaddy Lee-Preston.

    Tony Banks

Strange how BBC radio news bulletins reported the death of MP Tony Banks. Rather than report anything he had done in his life, they concentrated on his two passions: animal welfare and Chelsea FC.

    Where's What's On Editor?

What's on cover. The editor with Rick Stein.
There's a free magazine in Kent and Sussex called What's On. It provides a reasonable listing of the monthly events going on, from "Learn to Jive Rock 'n' Roll" (£3 at the Sovereign Harbour, Eastbourne) right down to car boot sales (numerous).

However, I don't pick up my free copy to find out what's going down. I get it to see how many times its publicity/photo-loving editor appears. In the latest edition (Jan 2006), the lady in question (who coyly calls herself the "What's On Editor" appears four times), quite a low appearance rate for her.
