What's the point of Catherine Tate?

I've only ever seen the ubiquitous BBC trailers, but these have not done their job in getting me to watch. The show appears to be a total rip-off of (the once good) Little Britain, in particular, the Marjorie Dawes Fat Fighter and Vicky Pollard.
